As part of Kunstmuseum St. Gallen’s exhibition “Sweet Days of Discipline” by artist Camille Henrot, three works of mine are exhibited at LOK. A three-channel sound installation floods the exhibition space with familiar, yet alienating sounds and noises heard by a child in a state of hyper-focus: a dog scratching its ears, buzzing bees, a parental “sh!”. Security personell of the museum hum lullabies for visitors, blurring the lines between cold authority and care. And at last, a chamber choir piece, performed on site and throughout the year, complement the show, curated by Nadia Veronese, running from June 10 through November 5, 2023.
